CS#286 and a farewell

This is the last reveal for Creative Scrappers, not only for me..
After 6 years, Kristine is closing this amazing sketchblog, and I will miss it! I`m glad I have her sketchbooks, so I can play with her great sketches even when the Sketchblog is gone.

But - no more sorrow - lets get on to this very last sketch! You can enter for the last price by submitting a layout to sketch #285 and/or #286 before January 31th. And here you have the last sketch:
As always, I loved the sketch, and when looking through my papers to find wich ones to cut in pieces, I found this lovely banner-paper from Crate Papers collection "Fourteen". I decided to use the banners as my paperstrips, and here you have my take on the sketch:
The layout is all about my girl and the pink dress she got as a gift for christmas. She just loved it! I thought it was a bit too small, but she refused to deliver it back to the shop..

I found a cute dress-banner in my "Oh-darling"-stuff, and had to put it in, as the layout is all about her  dress... I used lots of 3D-dots to make more dimension to the layout. I love the dots from Papirdesign. They are firm and just the right hight..

Each banner got its own color of sequins - but it was really hard to take a photo that could show that..
My use of sequins were also a result of Scrappelyst`s challenge of using sequins this month.. I think it worked so well here, as the dress is full of sequins.

Products:
Crate Paper- Fourteen, Flee Market, Oh Darling.
3D-dots and Alphabetstickers from Papirdesign.

To win a 25$ off a purchase of 35$ or more to SpiegelMom Scraps
all you have to do is create a layout using Sketch 285 and/or 286
and enter them using the inlinkz widget on the CS blog.
The deadline to submit your layout(s) is January 31st Midnight EST.

CS#284 Playing with cut files

It is finally time for a new sketch over at Creative Scrappers again, and this one is a bit different with its round elements.
We are teaming up with 17 Turtles this month, and the DT got some cut files to play with..
Unfortunately, I don`t have an electronic cutting device yet. I really hope Santa will give me a Cameo this Christmas.. I tried to get someone to cut out some files for me, but none of my scrap-girls could help me out.. So I found a solution I was pleased with - I printed the files out on vellum, and cut them out with my scalpel. I think they turned out great!!

I made some of the circles small, and put them in clusters together with some sequins and blingstones.

Lovely Juliana Michaels is the owner of 17 Turtles, and she has lots of great cut files. I chose to use some words, and I think this cut-file is so versatile for my use, and I will definitely use it again soon!
The papers are from Papirdesign.

I her blog you can also find some free cut files.. I really liked these hand drawn circles and downloaded them as well:-)
The Hand Drawn Circles can be found as free downloads here.

For a chance to win the price from 17 Turtles, you must enter a layout for sketch 283 or 284 before 30th December.

Scrappelyst på en lørdagskveld

I felt like scrapping tonight, and did a challenge over at the Norwegian blogsite with this name - Scrappelyst. They have a sketch-challenge going, and I did the same sketch as all the DT had done - believing it was the sketch we were challenged on.. When I was finished with my layout, I found out that we could choose any of their sketches - but I am happy with the one I chose..
I have used some old papers from Papirdesign - I just love the doilies-paper, and I don`t know how many of these I have cut out the last two years... This is my last paper, but I still have some left, so you`ll might find them again in one of my layouts later on;-)

I have gotten som test-samples of the new alphabet-stickers that Papirdesign just released, and I have also used some of those cute new flowers.

Here is the sketch I used. My layout is not as messy as the sketch, but I actually painted with watercolors behind the trimmed paper and made a few splats with a darker color to match her dress.

Creative Scrappers #280

It is time for a new sketch over at Creative Scrappers. It is such a great sketch and the team did an amazing job with it..

I decided to flip the sketch, and cut out some flowers and used them instead of the circles. Usually when I scrap after these sketches I tend to use bright colors, but this time I wanted to do something different. The papers are from the cute line "Tea Break" from KaiserKraft, and I really like the combination pink/yellow..
The title means something like "cute in line", as the pictures were taken while she was patiently waiting in line at an amusement park this summer.

Pretty Little Studio has provided us an amazing prize for one lucky participant! To Win a prize all you need to do is create a layout and enter the challenges using our inlinkz widget at the end of the reveals for Sketches 279-280.

Deadline to submit your layout is October 31st at Midnight EST.

If you enjoy making layouts using sketches as inspiration, you`ll love the new Creative Scrappers - Creating with Sketches vol.3. It has tons of inspiration with it`s 120 sketches. You can have it as an ebook, or in printed form - or both as I do;-).
