Creative Scrappers #303

I finally found my mojo to do some sketch-challenge again. Creative Scrappers have the best sketches, and I loved the February sketch. 

This is another layout from last summer, and I have used the lovely "Chasing Dreams" from Maggie Holmes / Crate Paper.

CS#286 and a farewell

This is the last reveal for Creative Scrappers, not only for me..
After 6 years, Kristine is closing this amazing sketchblog, and I will miss it! I`m glad I have her sketchbooks, so I can play with her great sketches even when the Sketchblog is gone.

But - no more sorrow - lets get on to this very last sketch! You can enter for the last price by submitting a layout to sketch #285 and/or #286 before January 31th. And here you have the last sketch:

As always, I loved the sketch, and when looking through my papers to find wich ones to cut in pieces, I found this lovely banner-paper from Crate Papers collection "Fourteen". I decided to use the banners as my paperstrips, and here you have my take on the sketch:

The layout is all about my girl and the pink dress she got as a gift for christmas. She just loved it! I thought it was a bit too small, but she refused to deliver it back to the shop..

I found a cute dress-banner in my "Oh-darling"-stuff, and had to put it in, as the layout is all about her  dress... I used lots of 3D-dots to make more dimension to the layout. I love the dots from Papirdesign. They are firm and just the right hight..

Each banner got its own color of sequins - but it was really hard to take a photo that could show that..
My use of sequins were also a result of Scrappelyst`s challenge of using sequins this month.. I think it worked so well here, as the dress is full of sequins.

CS#284 Playing with cut files

It is finally time for a new sketch over at Creative Scrappers again, and this one is a bit different with its round elements. 

We are teaming up with 17 Turtles this month, and the DT got some cut files to play with..
Unfortunately, I don`t have an electronic cutting device yet. I really hope Santa will give me a Cameo this Christmas.. I tried to get someone to cut out some files for me, but none of my scrap-girls could help me out.. So I found a solution I was pleased with - I printed the files out on vellum, and cut them out with my scalpel. I think they turned out great!!

I made some of the circles small, and put them in clusters together with some sequins and blingstones.

Lovely Juliana Michaels is the owner of 17 Turtles, and she has lots of great cut files. I chose to use some words, and I think this cut-file is so versatile for my use, and I will definitely use it again soon!

Creative Scrappers #283

It`s time for a new sketch at Creative Scrappers again, and this sketch is a fun one!! 

At first I thought I`d struggle with it, but it wasn`t as hard as I thought.. I love creating after these sketches - they push me to make something that I normally would`t make, and I always get pleased with the result..

The title refers to the drinking glasses my son is wearing. He loves using them - especially if he could drink something with colors.. Here it is only water, so they are not as visible as they are when he`s drinking a coke with them;-)

All papers and embellishments are from several Crate Paper collections..

Creative Scrappers #282

Yey... It`s Sunday again, and that means you can play with a new fun sketch from Creative Scrappers. 

Last week I got a huge package from the US, filled with gorgeous Crate Paper.  The combination great sketch and new papers made this layout come together so easy!! I think I used less then 15 minutes to make this..

I love the papers from "Open Book" and the golden accents..

The pics are from last week when our girl had to sign up for starting school next year. After meeting the schools headmaster and some teachers, she got a book. There she started writing "Mom and dad are the best parents in the world..." I though I`d save that for later - as I am sure she will say we are the worst in a couple of years...

I tried to clean up my scrap room the other day, and among the 70++ layouts that needed a home in an album, I found this layout that I made for a baby-challenge over at Papirdesign.  

I used sketch 279 from Creative Scrappers.

Creative Scrappers #281

Oh my... its November all ready!! Can you believe it? Times flies when having fun... and I had lots of fun playing with the latest sketch from Creative Scrappers. 

The DT have made an awesome job, as usual - and I hope you find some inspiration and that you will join in and create something with this great sketch!

My girl have been complaining about her never experienced horseback riding - so here she is very happy!! When driving the long way from Oslo to Bodø this summer, we stopped at a wild animal park at Namskogan, and just before we left, my girl could sit on a horse for the first time...

I have mixed papers from American Crafts and Crate Paper on this layout, and I also found my old alphabet dies that have been lying unused for a very long time...

Creative Scrappers #280

It is time for a new sketch over at Creative Scrappers. It is such a great sketch and the team did an amazing job with it..

I decided to flip the sketch, and cut out some flowers and used them instead of the circles. Usually when I scrap after these sketches I tend to use bright colors, but this time I wanted to do something different. The papers are from the cute line "Tea Break" from KaiserKraft, and I really like the combination pink/yellow..

The title means something like "cute in line", as the pictures were taken while she was patiently waiting in line at an amusement park this summer.

A little warm-up...

I am so excited!! Kristine Davidson have just finished her Creating with Sketches, vol.3 and it will  be ready for purchase soon. I am one of the many designers that have contributed to this sketchbook, and after receiving my sketch I made this layout.. It is not the one that is published in the book, so you will have to come back tomorrow if you want to see the published version. It is really different from this one, even though made from the same sketch:-)..

Having fun - with Creative Scrappers #279

I love having fun - and here are two examples of that... 

I love playing with sketches, and had such fun using the latest sketch from Creative Scrappers. 

It`s my first layout as a DT this term, so I am really happy to show it to you. It is also a bit scary, since the rest of the team is so talented..

I used a selfie taken at a local music festival this summer. I can assure you - I had fun that weekend!! Lots of Proseco, lots of people, lots of music, and lots of laughs...

These are the best girls to have fun with, and I already look forward to the festival next year :-)

I used a couple of scraps on this layout - both the program and the ticket (the ribbon at the bottom).

Papers, stickers and embellishments are from Crate. I also found some PL-cards with Crate-patterns that I used as my squares..

Creative Scrappers #268

I finally found the time to create something that was not for a DT-assignment, and when I saw the new sketch at Creative Scrappers, I just knew that I had to do something with it. I love Kristines sketches!! I also LOVE Crate Papers, so I have had such fun making this layout.

The picture is from last year. From one day to the next, we went from winter and snow to hot summer weather, and our girl didn`t seem to let go of the winter.. When we picked her up in the kindergarden, she still used the ear warmers, even though it was about 25C outdoor.. 

I really would like to have a Cameo and cut out some cool circles and a cool title, but since I don`t I have used my old Quickutz-diekutz instead.. I think it must be 3 years since the last time I used them.

I have used some 3D-dots under the picture to get some extra dimension to the layout.

CS-sketch #713

I have really missed Kristines sketches on Sundays, and I cross my fingers for her challengeblog to be up and running again soon. In the meanwhile, she has made a sketch for us to play with and I had to give it a go.

I flipped the sketch, and pulled out those lovely summerpapers from Echo Park Papers. Just love that cute "sweet girl"-line..

(I bought my self a new white pen, that I forgot at my mums, so the title will be a bit strange until I can buy myself a new one soon..)

Hello spring - CS April challenge

Noen hadde dårlig humor "der oppe" og sendte ned 40 cm med nysnø her om dagen - i tillegg til halvannenmetern som kom i påsken.. Må si at jeg synes det var en dårlig aprilspøk å bli møtt med dette synet 1.april da vi kom hjem fra påskeferie..

Denne er scrappet etter aprilskissa inne på Creative Scrappers - og er selvfølgelig hentet fra "Creating with Sketches vol.2". Jeg fikk et printet eksemplar i posten i går, og nå har jeg kost meg med to av skissene her inne. Du kan fremdeles få tak i denne enten i printet form eller i digital utgave ved å gå inn her. Det er en helt super skissebok med skisser og eksempler på hvordan du kan løse dem..

I guess "somebody up there" had a bad sense of humor when we got about 4o cm with new snow 1th of April - on top of the one and a half meter we got during Easter.. We had to do a lot of shuffling when we got back from our Easterhollyday...

This layout is made from the April Sketch Challenge at Creative Scrappers. The sketch is taken from the new Creating With Sketches Vol.2, and I just got mine in the mail yesterday. If you love sketches, this is a book you just have to have!! You can buy your digital or printed version here.

My son got very happy with his Easteregg this year - I wonder why..

Normally the kids get a much smaller egg with some candy in it, but this year it was their uncle who had the pleasure of spoiling them a bit, and he bought them the biggest he found - and it was packed!!

Smoothiebarter, Creative Scrappers og Papirdesign

Jeg har egentlig ikke tid til scrapping om dagen, men med syke barn får jeg jo ikke tid til det jeg skal gjøre, så da blir det visst scrappetidl likevel... Her kommer en rykende fersk lo fra meg i dag, scrappet etter ukas skisse på Creative Scrappers. Nesten alle produkter er fra Papirdesign.

I don`t really have time for paperworks these days, but having two sick little ones home to day, I  found some time for making a layout. I have used this weeks sketch at Creative Scrappers, and nearly all products are from Papirdesign.

Jeg har brukt "Ønsker for fremtiden", "Solveig" og "Sommerfugler i magen"

Ellers har jeg brukt de nye hjertene, 3D-puter, lilla alfabetstickers og ikke minst de helt nye tekststemplene som jeg synes passer like godt til Loer som til kort..

Med denne layouten sier jeg takk for meg for denne gangen til Creative Scrappers. Det har vært 5 morsomme måneder med flotte skisser å scrappe etter, og det har vært kjempemorsomt å være på et kreativt team med såå mange dyktige scrappere!!

This is my last layout for Creative Scrappers - for this time;-). It has been 5 fun months working with great sketches and it has been great beeing on such a tallented team!!
