August challenge at Papirdesign

Så begynner sommeren å nærme seg en ende... I løpet av august er vel ferien over for de fleste av oss nordmenn - og da må vi kaste oss over sommerbildene - eller komme i gang med kortlaginga igjen;-). For å komme i gang igjen, kan du jo bli med på utfordringa vår hos Papirdesign .

Jeg har scrappet et bilde fra sydenturen vår i juni..

CS-sketch #713

I have really missed Kristines sketches on Sundays, and I cross my fingers for her challengeblog to be up and running again soon. In the meanwhile, she has made a sketch for us to play with and I had to give it a go.

I flipped the sketch, and pulled out those lovely summerpapers from Echo Park Papers. Just love that cute "sweet girl"-line..

(I bought my self a new white pen, that I forgot at my mums, so the title will be a bit strange until I can buy myself a new one soon..)

To kort med Papirdesign

I år blir det mange 40-års kort å lage, og her er to jeg lagde for litt siden. Fant ut at jeg ville gjøre det enkelt og fant frem "Bygdetun"-arket. Her er det nemlig både, ark, pynt og gratulasjoner på ett og samme ark. Jeg fikk faktisk to kort ut av bare ett ark, og det er godt mulig å bare bruke arket i seg selv for å lage kort, men jeg ville selvsagt ha på noen blomster også.. Men det er altså ikke nødvendig å ha veldig mye utstyr før man har et fint kort til en billig penge..

I will have to make many cards for my 40-year old friends this year, and here I have made two cards - with just one paper with "Bygdetun". The backside of this lovely wooden paper have all the embellishments you need to make a card or two - so you don`t really need much stuff to be a cardmaker! I you will make it a little more interesting, you can add a few flowers as I have on my two cards..

Det første kortet lagde jeg stående. Baksiden på det fine brune trearket Bygdetun har slik flott hardangersøm på deler av baksiden, og der finner man også gratulasjonsbannere, sommerfugler og slike tags som jeg har brukt som base for tallet 40.

As you will see under here, you find tags, butterflies and banners where it says congratulations in Norwegian.. I chose to make one card standing and one lying to make them a little different from each other.

Kort nr 2 ble nesten likt, men for å lage litt variasjon, ble det liggende. Siden tagen hadde rosa blomster, på ble det rosa blomsterpynt på dette istedenfor hvitt. Her tok jeg også på slike nellikblomster(?)

She`s so cute - challenge

That`s just so cute have Solfrid as a guest this month, and her challenge was:

"You have to use white cardstock as your background, no pattern paper!

You should make the background with stamps, mists, paint....

It is not allowed to use flowers and lace.

And I want to see colors. Bright, lovley colors!"

Here is my take on this challenge.. - and I who love patterned paper have not a singel one in this layout.. Just color wash, paint, ink, chipboardstickers, paperframe and a tag.. - and thickers.. You might notice that I am a little bit inspired by Christin/Umenorskan:-)

I really liked my way to put in the title.. I had plans on doing some sewing as well, but didn`t have the time..

Spikkekniv - Sketchbook 365 July-challenge

Har prøvd meg på juliskissen til Sketchbook365, og siden jeg ikke klarer å scrappe uten at det er litt knæsje farger om dagen, fant jeg frem  Echo Paper Here&Now. Har gledet meg til å ta den frem, og serien skuffet ikke!!
Herman har fått sin egen spikkekniv, og her er den i bruk for første gang.. Stolt og glad gutt var fornøyd med sommergaven:-)

I have scrapped after the July-sketch at Sketchbook365, and today I wanted to pull out my Here&Now-line from Echo Papers. Can`t get enough of colors these days, so I was very pleased when I started using it..
Our boy got himself a little knife for cutting small things with, and he was very proud and happy when he used it for the first time..

Here is the sketch.. It runs until 18th July, so there is still time to join..

Simply adorable - or not...

It is not often we see our youngest one like this - and even though I didn`t think so at the time, I find her adorable now:-)

I have used Basic Grey`s knee hights collection on this one. Love the colors!!

TJSC-color 31

Thats just so cute have a really nice color palette that I wanted to try out, and the the papers from the Maggie Holm collection from Crate fitted perfectly!! 

Love this photo of my son taken in Turkey last month. I think he is soo handsome - and he is such a darling as well:-)

(The yellow comes out as more yellow than is actual is. The real stuff is just the same color as in the palette.)

The rain is still poring down - lucky for me as I really enjoy the scrapping these days!

Karatekid on the beach..

Some times it fits me perfect that the weather is bad.. These days we are painting the house, and I feared that that would put an end for my scrapbooking this summer. So I welcomed the stormy rain that come this evening so I could play some more with my new papers. I just love the Pier Collection from Crate - is it possible to say it too often??

I found a fun sketch at Pagemaps I just had too use, and found this fun pictures of Herman trying to do some karate moves on the beach in Turkey..

Love the embellishments that come with this line!!

I can`t seem to get the colors quite right in the light I have right now, but will not be able to take a new pic in the daylight tomorrow, so this will have to do for now..

Hoping for more rain next week, so I can do some more scrapping before we go on our Summer vacation.. 

Polka dots med Crate

I knew I had to have The Pier Collection from Crate as soon as I saw it, and today I finally got to play with it... I love this fun line, but still I struggled a bit and are not totally happy with how it turned out - but I have plenty more of this gorgeous line, so better luck next time;-)

Crate has a challenge on the use of polka dots, and this is my entry for the challenge..

Love the photophrames that comes with this line!!

The pics are from our vacation to Turkey last month, and our son borrowed the camera and took some pics of his little sister. I think he did a great job!!

Badenymfe - DT Papirdesign og skissedilla #217

Det er natt til lørdag og jeg har lekt meg litt med skissedillaskisse #217 - en god måte å tilbringe fredagskvelden/natta på:-) Det er lite som minner som sol og sommer her nå, men vi kan vel ikke klage vi her nordpå, som har hatt tidenes sommer frem til nå. Dette bildet er imidlertid tatt i syden og der var det ei lita frøken som bodde i bassenget:-). 

Jeg gjenoppdager stadig gamle favoritter hos Papirdesign, og akkurat nå om dagen kan jeg ikke få nok av dette bakgrunnsarket som heter "Lykke til". Digg-digg-digger den fargen!!! Her er den i kombinasjon med rosa - og det funker jo superbra.. - litt lenger ned, må jeg igjen vise den sammen med gult - det funker minst like godt;-)

Tonight I have played with Skissedillas sketch #217 - and it was a great way to spend Friday night:-) Outside the rain is pouring down, and there is not much there that invites to a long bath.. But we can`t complain here in Northern Norway - we have had the best summer in about 100 years or so, so far... Now it is back to normal - 10 degrees and rain.. We knew this were coming, so we went to Turkey earlier this Summer, and our daughter lived in the water - she just came up to get some food or for other essential needs:-).. These days I have rediscovered an old favorite of mine - the backgroundpaper - "Lykke til". This is the second layout I make with it, and I have more coming;-) Love - love- LOVE the color!! It goes pretty well with pink - and just as good with yellow as i did in the July-challenge layout I made..

I have cut out some butterflies with the paper "Duft av blomster". Love the new flowers from Papirdesign. The small Gerberas are very versatile, and I can`t get enough of those Pion flowers...

Birthdaycard

Our kids went to a birthdayparty today, and as usual I had no card ready... I seriously have to have a card-making night soon so I won`t have to be so stressed just before we are leaving the house..

I really like the Party Day Collection from Crate, it makes birthdaycards so easy to make, and in just 7 minutes the card was ready.. 

(The picture is taken with my mobile, so that`s my excuse for the bad quality...)

Papirdesigns juliutfordring

Nå er endelig den store sommermåneden her, og jeg krysser fingre og tær for at vi kan få litt (masse) sol!! For min del var mai fantastisk, men juni var grå og kald, så nå vil jeg ha sol, sol, sol...

Det er også utfordringen hos Papirdesign denne måneden - scrapp noe solrikt.. Det kan være at man bruker gult, har med en sol, scrapper sommerbilder - hva som helst bare det får oss til å tenke på sola..

Finally we can say it is Summer! As we are not sure having sun even if the Calendar say it is Summer, I cross my finger and toes and hope for the best.. I want sun, sun and more sun!! That is also Papirdesigns challenge this month.. We want to se something "Sunny". I could be a bright yellow project, a layout with pictures of a sunny day, or the Midsummer sun - a summer card or whatever that brings our thoughts to the sun..

Slik løste jeg utfordringen..

Siden juni ofte er kald her nord, bestemte vi oss for å ta en uke i syden for å sikre oss litt sommer. Det har nemlig blitt dårlig med det de siste to årene... Bildet er tatt et solrikt sted nå i juni - jeg kjenner jeg allerede lengter tilbake..

The last two Junes have been cold and rainy, so we decided to go somewhere sunny this year. We went to Turkey, and had one week of sun, beach and relaxation.. I miss it already!!

Jeg har valgt å bruke mye gult på layouten - både ark og pynt.

Arkene er fra Papirdesign, og det samme er alle blomstene. De små gule Gerberaene er helt nye - og veldig søte!! De kommer i mange farger, men her måtte jeg selvsagt ta de gule:-)

I chose to make a sun of a yellow paper, and to use lots of yellow embellishments. Papers, flowers and alphastickers are from Papirdesign. I used the brand new Gerberas that now come in a smaller size. They come in many different colors - here you see the yellow ones..

3D-putene til Papirdesign er alltid med..

I always use Papirdesigns 3D-dots to bring more life to the project.

Har også brukt noen hvite pioner som har fått en dæsj gul glimmermist på seg..

Sweet like candy - My Creative Sketches June-challenge

A Norwegian pop-artist has a song called "Sweet like candy" - and I thought that fitted well for my sweet sweet girl.. 

I have used a sketch from My Creative Sketches, and have used the very sweet "Lucky Charm"-collection from American Crafts. Just love it!!

These little jars are so sweet, and I guess I`ll cut them all out of the paper.. I have more plans on how to use them, and I might show it soon..

Here is the sketch.. I simplified it a bit and how that is ok..

Siste krampetrekning - DT Papirdesign og Skissedilla #215

I morgen kommer jeg over i et nytt tiår, og forrige helg feiret jeg siste helga på 30-tallet med gode venninner som ikke kan bli med på morgendagens fest. 

Jeg har kost meg med den nye versjonen av dongeriarket - som nå har kommet i en mer vasket utgave.. 

Tomorrow I will be a (still young) woman in her forties, so last weekend I had a small gathering - celebrating that I was still in my thirties - with some of my good friends that can`t come to my celebration on Saturday.. 

I made this with the new version of the Demin-paper, that now looks a bit more washed than the first paper did. 

Jeg kuttet ut noen stjerner fra arket "Din dag", og festet dem med 3D-putene til Papirdesign som jeg virkelig ikke får skrytt nok av! Jeg bruker de på alt jeg lager..

I cut out some of the stars on the paper "Din dag" and glued them on with the 3D-dots that Papirdesign has. Absolutely LOVE them!!

Jeg klippet også ut ei klokke fra arket "Kjekt å ha", siden tiden på den passet rimelig godt med hvor mye klokka var da bildet ble tatt;-)

I also cut out a little clock from the paper... I thought it fitted well since the time is pretty close to the time when this photo was taken;-)

Oh joy!! OUAS June challenge

Oh joy!! I have got a huge amount of new papers and embellishments and the feeling of joy when I finally was able to play with them was soooo good!! I absolutely LOVE this line from American Crafts, and I just regret that I didn`t buy two collectionpacks, since they are sooo beautiful!! Can`t wait to go back to my scraproom and create some more with them.

Here I have played with this months sketch and theme at Once Upon A ... Sketch.

The theme is "guilty pleasure", and I chose to use it on my little girl this time. She got this DS almost a year ago, and now she has really starting discovered it - wich is not just a good thing. Here she is having a little break from her sunbathing in Turkey last week.  

I have also used my new chevron-mask and some wood veneers and the lovely embellishments from American Crafts.
