Cardabilities #109

I guess I am not the only one having tons of paper and embellishments that haven`t been used for years.. The last two years I have mostly used papers and embellishments from Papirdesign and Crate Paper, and all my other stuff is just collecting dust... So - I had a little look in my paper stock, and found some papers from Maya Design, and a stamped image that needed some coloring. I have loads of Prima flowers and I can`t even remember the last time I used these flowers...

I found a cardsketch from Cardabilities, and have made some quick cards with it.. 

Here is one of them:

Jeg har ryddet litt på scrapperommet, og har funnet masse resteark, og småting som ikke har blitt puttet på rett plass igjen. Utfordret meg selv til å lage noen superkjappe kort til barnebursdager..

Det ble ganske mange - men her har dere tre stk.. Fikk også endelig tatt i bruk vannmalinga til ungene også - lol... Neste gang må jeg prøve på en layout..

I have tried to clean up my scrap room, and I found lots of papers, and embellishments that in a mysterious way had piled up in a corner.. I decided to make some quick cards with some of it for all the birthdays that always takes me by surprise. I also took the chance on trying the watercolors that "everybody" uses these days. It was fun - I`ll try it on a layout soon...

A little warm-up...

I am so excited!! Kristine Davidson have just finished her Creating with Sketches, vol.3 and it will  be ready for purchase soon. I am one of the many designers that have contributed to this sketchbook, and after receiving my sketch I made this layout.. It is not the one that is published in the book, so you will have to come back tomorrow if you want to see the published version. It is really different from this one, even though made from the same sketch:-)..

Having fun - with Creative Scrappers #279

I love having fun - and here are two examples of that... 

I love playing with sketches, and had such fun using the latest sketch from Creative Scrappers. 

It`s my first layout as a DT this term, so I am really happy to show it to you. It is also a bit scary, since the rest of the team is so talented..

I used a selfie taken at a local music festival this summer. I can assure you - I had fun that weekend!! Lots of Proseco, lots of people, lots of music, and lots of laughs...

These are the best girls to have fun with, and I already look forward to the festival next year :-)

I used a couple of scraps on this layout - both the program and the ticket (the ribbon at the bottom).

Papers, stickers and embellishments are from Crate. I also found some PL-cards with Crate-patterns that I used as my squares..

Family-tree . DT Papirdesign

Jeg vet at Papirdesign lenge har gått med tanker om å lage et familietre, og endelig har det kommet.. Treet ble kjempeflott, og jeg fant frem to ark og satt i gang med ungenes familietre slik det ser ut i dag..
Resultatet ble jeg kjempefornøyd med, og ungene synes det var morsomt å få alle samlet på denne måten.

I know that Papirdesign have been thinking about making a paper with a Family-tree for a long time, and now it is here.. I took two papers, and started on my kids tree, and I like the result - as did the kids. They liked having us all in one page at the same time.

 

På baksiden av arket finner man slike rammer som jeg har brukt som bakgrunn for bildene og en rekke striper med ulike slektsforhold..Her har jeg klippet ut noen og limt på baksiden av rammene. Siden det er ungene som er hovedfokuset, er disse bildene i farger, mens de andre er sort-hvite. Videre er de festet med 3D-puter, slik at de står litt frem frem enn resten av bildene.

On the other side of the paper, you can find these frames, more leaves, and lots of the names of relatives you would like to have on your page. I chose to put mine behind the frames.
I printed out pics of all the closest familymembers in b-w and the kids them selves in colors. Their frames are also on 3D-dots, so that they stand more out than the rest of the pics. 

Etter at jeg hadde klippet ut alle rammene, tekstene og bladene jeg ville bruke, fant jeg ut at det var flere grener igjen på forsiden på ark nr 2. Disse klippet jeg ut og festet med 3D-puter blant de andre grenene og da ble det et mer dimensjonalt tre. I tillegg kunne jeg bruke disse grenene som festepunkter for banneren min. Den detaljen ble jeg ekstra fornøyd med...

After I was finished clipping all the frames, leaves and text, I realized I had more branches that I could cut out and put on the tree. That made the tree more dimension and I could use those branches for my banner.. 

Banneren er også festet med 3D-putene til Papirdesign. Jeg klipte som sagt også ut noen ekstra blader for å skape litt ekstra liv på layouten..
Dette var noe helt annet enn det jeg vanligvis scrapper, men etter at bildene var justert og pritet ut, tok det ikke lange tiden, da den egentlig gjorde seg selv, og jeg ikke trengte finne frem så mye annet pynt.
Bare husk at du får med deg 2 ark fra butikken hvis du selv har lyst til å lage noe lignende;-)

As soon as the pics were printed out, this didn`t take much time, and with just two papers and some 3D-dots, I had all I needed!

Daddy`s girl

I liked this months sketch over at Once Upon A... Sketch, so I had to give it a go. 

Suddenly I found myself having a real rub-on frenzy.. I can`t even remember the last time I used rub-ons, but when I first started, I could`t stop.. he he..

The theme this month is open, but you have to put in handwritten journaling.
It`s not just rub-ons I have used - I also used a couple of stamps from Papirdesign. Both the hearts, the grids and the birds are stamps..

I used several of the new flowers from Papirdesign - and a button as well. 

The little birds in the top left corner is also a stamp.

I am still doing my happy dance and have to pinch my arm every now and then... 

Creative Scrappers is definitively the best site if you love working with sketches, and lucky me will be a part of the DT-team this fall..  There is so much talent on this team, and I can`t wait to get started. Hope you will come visit when our first reveal is up October 5...

My girl

I am so happy I finally have some time to play in my scrap room again... Oh my I have missed it!!

I have had so little time to scrap the last months, and I had to prioritize my DT-work in the small amount of time I have had. I love Papirdesign, but I have another fav as well - Crate!!

I have so much Crate-papers laying around, so last night I pulled out some "Oh Darling" and "Love Notes" and made this layout.

 I love the soft tones on these papers, and have several layers behind the photo. This photo was taken this summer at a tivoli.

I have lost one of the chipboard letters, but made one myself...

Back to do some more scrapping..

Septemberchallenge over at Papirdesign

Can you believe it is September already??

Papirdesign have a monthly challenge, and this month we have two lovely sketches for you. One for layouts and one for cards.. Today we focus on the layoutsketch- and will be showcasing our contributes for the cardsketch in a couple of weeks.

The lovely wooden Paper is an old one, and my last... Fortunately Papirdesign have just released a new one - just as nice as this one:-). I have gone completely bananas with all the lovely new flowers that I received from lovely Line at Papirdesign. 

Papirdesign released about 80 new flowers this time, and I chose to focus on some of the bigger ones. Here they are mostly in purple, but you can also get them in lots of other colors. 

I have also cut out some flowers from an older paper "Mormors have", and some purple doilies from "På rad og rekke". 

I love the little text-stamps, and find myself using them on almost everything I make these days...

A couple of cards

I have made two cards for Papirdesign that I have forgot to post in this blog, so here it goes...

When I make cards, they often ends up looking like this.. - They are almost the same - just with different papers.
The first one is a pink card with some of the new and beautiful flowers that Papirdesign just released..

All the papers, ribbons, stamps and embellishments are from Papirdesign.

I don`t always bother to do something with the inside, but I have on both these cards. I used the same stamp, as I like the text..

I have just used one Paper on this card.. I had not received the new flowers when making this card, but I am still in love with the pions, so they were my first choice of flowers here..

New Papers from Papirdesign

I love this time of year!! 

Back to routines after a long vacation, the smell of autumn,  the changing light and of course the excitement of getting a completely new line from my favorite Paper Company - Papirdesign.. 

They have just released the new winter/Christmas-collection "silent night" (stille matt). Even though they are for a colder season, there are always some papers that are great for other occasions as well. Here I have used two of these.. Love both the new wood-paper, and the star-paper..

I chose to make this very simple and flat, just adding a title, a chipboard star and some crystals.

I hope this autumn will give more time to my favorite hobby, so I will be able to show you more stuff with this great line. You can find more of Papirdesigns new collection here:

Augustutfordringen hos Papirdesign

This months challenge over at Papirdesign is "Summer Memories". If you are a cardmaker, you can make something with pastels... 

I tried to combine these two, making a layout in pastels, with pics from a day at the beach in July.

I could never touch crabs when I was young - they simply terrified me.. My daughter is a lot tougher than I was.

Tidsfordriv med Papirdesign

Det er fredag igjen, og denne gangen er det min tur å poste noe for Papirdesign.

Jeg har iallefall ingen vansker med å fylle tiden om dagen.. Husmaling, og mer enn nok å gjøre ute når sola skinner gjør at papiret mitt ligger litt for lenge i ro om gangen.. Jeg kjenner at jeg virkelig savner å få scrappet daglig slik jeg gjorde før. Her om dagen fikk jeg sneket meg til et par timer på scrapperommet, og da ble denne layouten til. 

Jeg har en gutt som lett kjeder seg, og selv på en kort togtur fra Gardermoen, måtte brettet frem for å slå ihjel tiden... Det går jo i ferier, ellers har han helt sikkert godt av å kjede seg litt.

Det kule stempelet "kretsbrett" er brukt til å lage bakgrunnen, og ellers har jeg bare brukt et av journalingkortene fra arket "ballonger"

Jeg tente etter at jeg hadde stemplet at det også kunne se ut som et t-bane eller tognettverk også..

Disse småordstemplene er skikkelig anvendelige, og blir ofte brukt - både på layouter og på kort..
